Brendale is our home base, which makes it the easiest suburb for us to service. We look after industrial and commercial sites across the Brendale industrial area as well as homes and small strata complexes in the suburb's residential streets. Being a few minutes away means we can keep regular schedules, fit in short-notice jobs and get back quickly after a storm.
Brendale is an unusual mix. Much of the suburb is given over to warehouses, factories, trade suppliers and service businesses along South Pine Road and the roads running off it, while the residential side is made up of family homes and quieter streets. Our work here is split between the two.
Properties in Brendale
The commercial side of Brendale has large sites with wide grass verges, car park gardens, screening hedges along boundaries and long fence lines. These are exactly the areas that get forgotten until they look neglected. Many are leased, so presentation matters to both owners and tenants when leases come up.
Residential Brendale is mostly detached family homes on standard suburban blocks, many with established gardens and lawns that have been in place for decades. Like much of the Pine Rivers district, the ground is often heavy clay, which stays soft after rain and bakes hard in dry spells.
Getting around Brendale
South Pine Road is the main spine through the suburb, linking Brendale to Strathpine and Gympie Road on one side and Albany Creek and Eatons Hill on the other. The South Pine River runs along the suburb's edge, and the Gateway and Bruce Highway connections are close by, which is part of why the area has become such a busy industrial hub.
For us, it means short travel between jobs. Industrial clients can have us on site early before traffic builds up, and residential customers get a crew that's nearby if the weather forces a reschedule.
A large Brendale strata complex of more than 200 townhouses had been left in poor condition by its previous grounds contractor. We brought it back with an intensive recovery program, then moved it onto a regular maintenance schedule.
When the previous grounds contractor at a premium business park in Brendale retired, we took over. We reset the gardens, hedges and lawns, then started a program of visits several times a week that keeps the car parks clean, the lawns mown and the whole site litter-free.
